Teos 2026 – Registration for Photographic artists

You are warmly invited to participate in the joint artwork sales exhibition organised by the Association of Photographic Artists, the Association of Finnish Printmakers and the Association of Finnish Sculptors!

TEOS 2026 will be held in Merikaapelihalli at the Cable Factory from 8-17 May 2026. The event is open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm and entry to the exhibition is free. As in previous years, representatives of art collections will have the opportunity to view the artworks on display before the event opens to the public.

The electronic registration form for members of the Association of Photographic Artists is open from 2-18 March 2026.

Please read the registration instructions thoroughly before submitting the form. The form is available in Finnish only. Note that once submitted, the artist or artwork information cannot be changed. Complete each section carefully and submit the form no later than Wednesday 18 March at 11.59pm. By registering your work for TEOS, you grant the Association of Photographic Artists permission to sell your works on your behalf.

Participation fee and sales commission

A participation fee of 30 € needs to be paid to the Association of Photographic Artists by 18 March in order to validate your registration. Payment details are as follows:

Account name: Valokuvataiteilijoiden liitto ry
Account number: FI35 8000 1902 0541 22
Reference: TEOS 2026 + your full name

The sales commission (35%) is calculated based on the price of the work excluding VAT. When registering, please indicate whether you are liable for VAT, and include applicable business ID. The prices of the artworks should include any applicable VAT.

What can I bring?

Each member can submit a maximum of 3 hangable works + 3 prints + 4 additional prints to TEOS 2026. You can register your artwork for participation in one of the following formats:

  1. The physical exhibition at the Cable Factory
  2. both the Cable Factory and the online shop
  3. the online shop only (reserved for members residing outside Uusimaa)

Hangable works max. 3 pieces: work that can be attached to the walls (framed, mounted pieces).

Prints max. 3 pieces: pre-packaged and labelled prints to display in the print stands.

Additional prints max. 4 pieces: pre-packaged and labelled additional prints to be displayed in the print stands and online when the previous prints have been sold. These works serve as reserve prints and will be stored at the venue before being put on display.

This means that a total of 10 works can be brought to the sales event. All works need to be delivered to the Cable Factory at the same time.

Delivery and pick-up

Registered artworks must be delivered directly to Merikaapelihalli, Cable Factory on Monday 4 May, 11 am-7 pm. Only the artworks that have been registered using the form below will be accepted and displayed. The artist is responsible for unpacking their artworks on-site and taking all packaging away with them – please allow enough time for this. If possible, we kindly ask artists to avoid peak hours: 11am-1pm and 5pm-6pm.

Remember to:

Each artist will be notified individually about the sale of their artworks no later than before the scheduled pick-up time. The pick-up of artworks will take place after the event has ended on Sunday 17 May, 6.30pm-8pm. Please do not come to collect your artwork before this time and bring packaging materials with you to pack your artworks.

Installation

Installation of submitted artworks will be carried out by the TEOS technical team. Initially, we commit to displaying at least two framed works by each artist. Due to the scale of the event, artists will not be able to choose the placement of their artwork. The remaining framed artworks will be added to the exhibition display as works are sold or as space becomes available.

Works that require special arrangements for hanging or that are e.g. sculptures or moving images must be declared via email to info@hippolyte.fi by 6 April 2026.

Arrival

The Cable Factory is easily accessible by public transport: Ruoholahti metro station is just a short walk away (600m) and tram number 8 stops right in front. There are no parking spaces in the area, and only short-term drop-off is permitted for delivery purposes.

Address:
Cable Factory, Merikaapelihalli
Kaapeliaukio 3, 00180 Helsinki

How to get there

Important

The artist is responsible for the following actions and expenses, depending on the mode of participation:

A) Artists submitting artwork to the Cable Factory only, or to both the Cable Factory and the online shop, are responsible for the transportation of the artworks to and from the venue (if unsold), as well as any additional material or assistance needed for unusual hanging of the work, and insurance.

B) Artists selling work through the online shop are responsible for organising the delivery of the purchased work to the buyer in collaboration with the association. The artist is responsible for securely packing and sending the work. The association will provide a prepaid postage sticker according to the buyer’s delivery choice selected at the online shop checkout. Artworks listed in the online shop will be available for purchase until 29 May 2026.

NB: The artist is liable for packing materials and costs, as well as for postage or additional costs for the following: 1) larger or fragile artworks, 2) if the item is sent via an alternative mode (not agreed upon with the association), and 3) if the item is not suitably packed/ is damaged upon arrival.

Online sales

Online sales will take place on the teosvalitys.fi website. Please provide a high-quality image of each artwork in your application form (the image download will come visible when you select the online-option). This image will be visible to customers online and may also be used on social media channels for event marketing purposes. The image size may be a maximum of 1.5 MB and must be named in the following format: surname_firstname_artwork-title.

Remember to:

The online shop is governed by consumer protection law, and customers have a 14-day right of return for online purchases. Although returns are very rare, you must accept the online sale return policy when registering your artwork for sale online.

If a customer reserves an artwork (for a maximum of one day), it will be temporarily removed from the online shop. If the reservation is cancelled, the work will reappear in the online shop.

NB: The online shop will remain open until 29 May, 2026, after the event at the Cable Factory has ended. If a work is sold during the “after-sale” period through the online shop, the artist is obligated to deliver the work to the buyer or to Photographic Gallery Hippolyte, as agreed upon by all parties.

Collaboration with the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation at TEOS 2026

The Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation protects Finland’s nature, with a primary focus on endangered forests. The Foundation acquires natural areas through donations and ensures their permanent protection under the Nature Conservation Act. The Taiteen Metsä (Forest of Art) campaign brings together artists, art lovers, and professional communities to help safeguard forests.

Artists may choose to donate 5€ from a work sold through the associations in the artist’s name. In this case, the Association of Photographic Artists will also donate an additional 5€ from its own commission. On the registration form, the artist can make the donation choice on a per-work basis, meaning they may choose to participate with only some of their works, or not at all. The artist decides whether to participate in the donation campaign and which work(s) it applies to. If a donation is made from a sale to the Finnish Nature Heritage Foundation, a small logo will appear on the price tag and online store to indicate that the work is part of the campaign.

Artwork Donation to the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation

Artists may also choose to donate a work for the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation’s charity sale. The donated work cannot be the same physical piece as the one sold at TEOS through the associations. However, it can be identical in edition or print series to a work sold at the event. The associations are not responsible for the donated works or any arrangements related to them. More information can be found here (in Finnish).

Sustainability

TEOS is paying closer attention to the materials it uses as well as the ways it utilises and disposes of them. We would like to encourage artists participating in the event to join us in reducing, reusing, repurposing and recycling packaging materials where possible.
